Selina comes from a strong family history of breast cancer that goes back 3 generations. After her mother’s second diagnosis of ductal carcinoma in situ, she immediately knew in her heart that this diagnosis came with a greater purpose and calling. Two days later Daughters Against Breast Cancer, Inc. was born. As a Certified Christian Life Coach and Holistic Health Coach, her commitment to breast cancer patients, survivors, and their daughters is to help them achieve optimal wellness and live a life free of disease and illness.
Selina’s greatest satisfaction in life is seeing people overcome obstacles and reach new heights that they never thought possible! Before joining Daughters Against Breast Cancer, Keri spent the last 9 months attending Texas Center for Massage Therapy. Prior to that she spent 22 years as a retail manager for Sam’s Club. Her experience required in-depth club knowledge, great communication, organizational, financial and people skills while motivating teams and ensuring clubs are profitable as well as good partners within their communities.
She has a strong passion for helping and educating others to be successful. Keri is a licensed massage therapist specializing in rehabilitation, disease prevention, and wellness for breast cancer patients.
Outside of Daughters Against Breast Cancer, Keri enjoys spending time with her family and friends, working out, and being able to give back and help others.
Katrina White was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, and refers to herself as a “True Southern Gal.” Katrina is a graduate from the University of Memphis with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance.
Katrina developed her love for volunteer services while attending Craigmont High School in Memphis, Tennessee during her sophomore year. Throughout the years, she remained active in her community and church up until her relocation, with her family, to the Dallas/Fort Worth area in 2013. Katrina is also a former AmeriCorps VISTA where she served as a Volunteer VISTA with the Girl Scouts Heart of the South Council in Memphis, Tennessee. While in Memphis, she worked for 11 years in the medical office field that helped developed her broad knowledge of healthcare while working for private practices, medical groups, and local hospitals.
When given the opportunity to become a part of Daughters Against Breast Cancer, Katrina did not hesitate to get involved and assist her close friend, Selina, in birthing her ministry. She believes that serving others is a ministry and being able to continue her personal ministry by serving other women is her true passion. Katrina has a strong faith in God and love for Christ. She enjoys being a part of an organization that allows her to share her love of her faith with her love to serve in her community.
Katrina enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and sharing her testimony of her marriage and husband’s battle with epilepsy with extended invitations to speak at churches, women’s ministries, and couples’ ministries.
Her personal goal is to leave a legacy of her faith with her sons and touch the lives of other in a way that will make an impact on how they choose to love thy neighbor.
