One of the missions of Daughters Against Breast Cancer is to provide a community for you to share with each other your breast cancer prevention, nutrition, fitness, and natural health articles and videos, DIY tips, inspiring stories, lifestyle advice, and whatever else you feel can uplift and educate women. That is why we created http://www.daughtersagainstbreastcancer.com/. In essence, it is an online breast cancer prevention community devoted to giving you the tools to live a healthy and preventative lifestyle. We’re all here to motivate, educate, and inspire one another to become CEOs of our own health. Plus, you’ll get to show off your tasty recipes and healthy DIY options and share your knowledge with women who also have a family history of breast cancer.
We’re looking for both new and established writers and video bloggers who would like to contribute the following:
Guest Bloggers and Vloggers – DaughtersAgainstBreastCancer.com is accepting articles, blog posts, infographics, and videos from guest bloggers and vloggers. Please be sure to first submit a proposal of what you plan to write about to Contribute@DaughtersAgainstBC.org. If you plan to re-post the content on your personal blog we ask that it be posted on our site for 7 days prior to posting it on your blog under a different title. Please submit the content, a link to your blog, and a short bio and pic of yourself. Educational and actionable topics are most wanted. It is your responsibility to ensure that you engage and respond to all comments posted by our readers. If you don’t have a piece of content ready please complete the Contributor Interest Form so that we have a profile for you for future opportunities.
Transform the Lives of Others – Tell us your story as it relates to breast cancer prevention or survival, or living with a family history of breast cancer. What have you learned? What would you share with someone who is lost and needs guidance on how to prevent the disease or has been recently diagnosed? Pics and videos are welcome!!!
Journey to Optimal Health – What were the defining moments in your life that led you down the path that you are on today?A pictorial of where you’ve been, and where you are now would be great!
Daughter to Daughter – We love mother and daughter or sister to sister content! We love to hear your stories. You never know, it may be part of a special series one day. Hint hint!
DIY Tutorials – Submit pictures and videos of your do-it-yourself beauty, household, and nutrition recipes, complete with instructions for the rest of us!
What’s In Your Kitchen? – Throughout the week, send in pictures of your favorite dish and I’ll post them on Instagram for your viewing pleasure. Send submissions to Contribute@DaughtersAgainstBC.org, and use “Show and Tell” as the subject line. Be sure to include a brief description!
Nutritious Recipes – Be sure to include an original photo of the dish.
Fitness – Detailed instructional content that is beginner level. Include photo(s) or a three-minute video.
-We accept bylined articles to be published on our blog.
-Posts must be original and unique. Posts cannot be published online (except for your personal blog) or set for distributions to other sites.
-Content anywhere from 500-1000 words. Feel free to break longer posts up into multiple single topic posts.
-Provide actionable tips that can be implemented quickly and with ease.
-Write in first person manner that is conversational, inspiring, uplifting, educational, and informative.
-Provide a source for all your health claims. Tell us about your specific experience. Provide links to peer-reviewed scientific articles, academic journals, and reputable news outlets. Put relevant links in brackets: [http://twitter.com/daughtersabc].
-Include photos and infographics.
-Solve a problem or make someone’s life easier or better.
-Create a catchy title and an opening statement.
-No SEO-driven content.
